Welcome to the ‘Nurturing Our Spirit – Journey to Wellbeing’ Conference – Virtual
Message from the First Nation Early Years Mentors Gijikendaamin Planning Committee
Nurturing our spirit supports our mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing. This is about what makes you feel good and connected. Embracing our Indigenous culture through artistic expressions and language supports our wellbeing. A culture of wellbeing grows healthy working relationships in our early years programs which is reflected in our daily interactions with children and parents.
This amazing event is an opportunity for registered early childhood educators, frontline educators, resource consultants, coordinators, and supervisors working in early learning programs located in the Province of Ontario to come together for an exciting 3 days of professional learning and facilitated information sharing.
It’s great to be able to collaborate with such creative, intelligent, unique professionals who dedicate their time to support our early childhood educators on their lifelong learning journey. You will find the conference full of thought provoking and inspiring sessions delivered by professionals from our partner agencies located in the Thunder Bay Region. We are pleased to bring back favourites; Dr. Jean Clinton and Nancy Jones. And invite new presenters; Patricia Ningewance and Patrick Hunter!
Lastly, we would like to thank our funders and donators who made this all possible: Ministry of Education, FIREFLY, and members of the First Nation Early Years Mentors Gijiikendaamin. (Sponsor page in development!)
Our goal is to provide you with the same experience you would receive at an in person event! Bring your enthusiasm, energy, and your eagerness to learn and network! Hope to see you there!
