Make mealtime an enjoyable experience Having a positive eating environment is important. The settings where you eat and the people you share meals with can help make mealtime more satisfying. Start by creating an enjoyable space. Make your eating area attractive, sit in a comfortable space, and maybe listen to your favourite music in the background. You can also plan to eat meals with others. This is a great way to share cultures and food traditions across generations, and help enjoy quality time with friends, family or the community. If you are living alone or away from family and friends, you can: host a monthly neighbourhood potluck plan a weekly breakfast or coffee date with a friend ask your local community centre about community kitchens.
