Cultural Make and Take Series: Talking Sticks
April 3, 2024 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Join us as Mary gifts us with her teaching/story of the talking stick. you will create your our own talking sticks with materials you have gathered on our own.
Finding Your Perfect Stick: Take a beautiful walk in the woods nearby and find a stick. Be mindful of what age group you work with. Make sure the stick is thick enough that you can create your own story onto it.
Material Guide List: Gather materials you have around your house or classroom. Feathers, scrap material, beads, paint, markers, leather scraps, fur or anything else you want to decorate your stick with.
Sharing Circle: Participants will have the opportunity to show their talking sticks and share the story behind their special stick.
