Edwin C. Taylor (Kaangaadese) is from Walpole Island via Curve Lake First Nation. He is an active learner and instructor of Ojibway language, with fluency. He is a member in good standing with Walpole Island- Anishinaabemowin Language Advisory Group (ALAG). He is actively teaching evening Ojibway language classes at Walpole Island and Algonac, Michigan and is presently employed at Bkejwanong Children’s Centre as their Cultural Enrichment Instructor.
Breakout Session Group A - Val King
Niindowaymaagunoduk (All of My Creation) - 9:15 - 11:00 am
Focusing on the Anishnaabe Creation Story Val will share teachings on how in the 7th fire humans were created. The last of the seven fires in niindowaymaagunoduk (all of creation). Val will share how this relates to the 4 elements and how it relates to your bundle.
Val will share a song with us to add to our bundles.

Break Out Session - Group B - Crystal Bomberry
Mindfulness in Yoga and Healthy Eating - 9:15 - 11:00 am
In this session, a brief history of yoga (including chair yoga) and its many important holistic benefits will be covered. We will have the opportunity to engage in a brief chair yoga practice to experience mindful movement and feel immediate positive impacts. We will explore mindfulness and ways we can integrate this great practice into basic everyday tasks to improve present moment awareness, strengthen focus, reduce stress, and cultivate positivity. Healthy Mindful Eating will be discussed as a mindfulness practice in which we can nurture mind, body, and spirit by eating holistically beneficial foods as much as possible.
